Come to float and listen for an evening with us staging the sound of Badehaus Sargfabrik. Between 7:00 pm and midnight, SWIRL POOL II invites you to experience art installations and sound performances while being in the water. For this evening, we are excited to have artists Ferdinand Schwarz and Mara Never joining us to continue the collage of the swimming pool.
The SWIRL POOL series is created and curated by Anna Boding Kildetoft, Josefine Ehs and Siri Viola.
Ferdinand Schwarz is a composer-performer interested in seemingly simple sounds, exploring them in the design of compositions, sound installations and communal listening practices. Ferdinand approaches listening as an active condition, a creative and contingent tool for states of magnified presence and sensibility. Much of his work zooms into rigorously reduced sonic material and thereby uncovers our interaction with sounds – observing ourselves observing, listening to ourselves listening.
His solo project Do You Hear What I Hear? is a performance-installation utilizing psychoacoustics and the experience of space via listening with a self-built instrument made of multiple air-pressure machines, tubes, and melodicas.
Mara Never W. is a curator, writer, musician and DJ currently based in Vienna, Austria. She is co-running the event series Augend&Addend as well as the cassette label Jeopardize. As of recently she is co-editing the publication Habit Role which was initiated by her longtime colleague Winona Hudec.
Mara Never’s debut ‘EP’ was released on September 16th via Tender Matter.

BE MINDFUL
Be mindful this is a space for rest - keep conversations low, be kind towards other visitors and respect that the pool is a non-sexualised space.
NO PHONES AND PHOTOS
We wish for the space to be phone and camera free, so visitors can enjoy the space in peace.
